Interference Protection
Detailed Information

When you retain Comsearch to act as your coordination agent, we provide the following services and deliverables:

Interference Monitoring Services

Interference Monitoring Services find and fix your interference problem before it becomes a costly issue. We determine potential interference problems on paper, resolving them before they become real and, therefore, much tougher to overcome. Comsearch engineers utilize our proprietary database, the most comprehensive in the industry and updated daily with information obtained directly from the FCC and our clients, to provide the technical information required on all coordinated, applied, and licensed systems. This ensures your system is well protected. Containing information on terrestrial microwave, satellite earth station, and multiple address system (MAS), our database has accurate data on the interference environment around your protected system. This is invaluable when you upgrade, expand, or negotiate issues with other microwave users in your area. Knowledge of the environment allows us to gauge potential interference problems and provide more accurate assessments. Comsearch ensures the correct interference objectives and clearance criteria are used to protect your systems and eliminate expensive problem resolutions. The accuracy of the data prevents false identification of problems.

Industry and FCC Forum Representation

Comsearch's coordination experts actively participate in the activities of the National Spectrum Managers Association (NSMA), Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and other groups allowing us to maintain current technical objectives and requirements and enforce them on your behalf. Daily involvement with the FCC provides peace of mind knowing all regulatory changes and updates to the procedures and rules pertaining to your system are understood and followed. We are actively involved in the development, structuring, and implementation of analysis methods, objective evaluations, and new service investigations in the microwave, satellite, and MAS communities. Comsearch will represent your interests in industry and governmental forums, affect policymaking and protect your interests on a higher level.

FCC Coordination Agent

Per FCC Rule, Part 101 Licensees or their Designated Coordination Representative are entitled to receive a copy of proposed system changes in their area that may affect their licensed facility. Licensees/Coordination Agents bear the responsibility of reviewing these notices and notifying the new system coordinator of any problems. When Comsearch acts as your agent, we ensure that your systems are interference free and any potential problems with other system owners are identified during their coordination process.

We save you time. We handle the routine paperwork. We monitor your coordination process. You focus on managing your company's business. As your agents, we remove the administrative burden by submitting required letters and associated paperwork to the FCC and other users in your bandwidth.

Deliverables

  1. A monthly detailed report of all the activity in the areas and bands of your protected system, providing a snapshot of the actions taken on your behalf by Comsearch and the results of any clearance activities pertaining to your system.
  2. A quarterly newsletter providing a synopsis of the FCC, Industry and Comsearch activities that may potentially impact your system.
  3. Information on the systems of other carriers that may impact your system.
