  Support & Resources

At Comsearch, we recognize our customers' concern regarding the privacy of the information that we collect and our plans for using this information. Our goal is to gather information necessary to process purchases that you want to make, to inform you of new industry related information including new services and product offerings, and to help us develop services and products that you require.

Why We Collect Customer Information

It is our objective to collect only that information pertinent to conducting business with you. We will not ask you for credit card information unless you are purchasing a product or service from us using a credit card. Whenever we ask for information, we will inform you as to what use we will make of it before or at the time we collect the information. You will be offered the choice as to whether or not you wish to provide information to us. For example, if we are using the information solely for marketing and research purposes, we will advise you of that fact.

Please note that for product registration and purchases, we are required to collect information to enable us to accurately register or support your product. We may not be able to allow you to register or purchase products without that information. Comsearch may also be required by law to disclose certain information (for example, the geographical location of customers who download products containing high-level encryption) from time to time.

Deleting Your Name From Our Customer List Entirely

If you decide that you no longer wish to have your name on our customer list at all, you can either delete your Comsearch.com account or you can contact us. If you do not delete your account over the Internet, deletion of your information could take two to four weeks.

Please note that if you are a registered Comsearch.com product user and you delete your name from our customer list, you will no longer receive e-mail or other notices regarding technical support of your product, including notices of available upgrades and patches.

Updating Or Correcting Your Information

If your information changes or you become aware that there is an error in your information, you can either change your Comsearch.com account information or you can contact us. If you do not change your account information over the Internet, correction or updates of your information could take two to four weeks.

If You Receive Unwanted Materials

Occasionally, there may be instances where a customer's designation as "private" is inadvertently removed and the customer may receive e-mail or other marketing materials from Comsearch. If you think this may have happened to you, please let us know by contacting Customer Service and we will correct the problem. Please keep in mind that, if you have submitted a request to have your name marked private or removed from our customer list or you have requested that your information be updated or corrected, there could be a two to four week period during which you may receive information from us while we are updating or deleting your information.

Use Of IP Addresses

An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you are connected to the Web. Web servers automatically identify your computer by its IP address. Comsearch.com collects IP addresses for the purpose of system administration, to report aggregate information to our advertisers, and to audit the use of our site. When guests request pages from Comsearch.com, our servers log the guest's IP addresses. We do not normally link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable. This means that a user's session will be logged, but the user remains anonymous to us. We can and will use IP addresses to identify a user when we feel it is necessary to enforce compliance with our internal rules or terms of service or to protect our service, site, customers or others.

Use Of Cookies

What are cookies? Cookies are pieces of information that a Web site transfers to an individual's hard drive for record-keeping purposes. Cookies make Web-surfing easier for you by saving your preferences while you are at our site. We never save passwords or credit card information in cookies. The use of cookies is an industry standard - you will find them at most major Web sites.

Comsearch.com has two primary uses for cookies. First, we use them to store information so that you can easily go from one page to another within our site without having to type in repeated information. Secondly, we use cookies to track user trends and patterns. This helps us better understand and improve areas of Comsearch.com service that our users find valuable.

Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. You can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, note that some parts of Comsearch.com will not function properly or may be considerably slower if you refuse cookies.

Security

The importance of security for all personally identifiable information associated with our guests is of utmost concern to us. We exercise great care in providing secure transmission of your information from your PC to our servers. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, Comsearch.com cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or from our online products or services. You do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems. When credit card information is transmitted we use industry standard, SSL (secure socket layer) encryption.

Your Comsearch.com account is password protected so that only you can access it and view the member information relevant to the account. We recommend that you do not divulge your password to anyone. Comsearch.com will never ask you for your password in an unsolicited phone call or email. Ultimately, you are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your passwords and any account information.

Remember to sign out of your Comsearch.com Account and close your browser window when you have finished your work. This is to ensure that others cannot access your personal information and correspondence if your computer is accessible to others, if you share a computer with someone else, or if you are using a computer in a public place such as a library or Internet café.

Your Acceptance Of These Terms

Your use of this site, including the download of data, software or placement of an order, indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms of use, please do not use the site. We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions of these terms at any time. Please check these terms periodically for changes. Your continued use of Comsearch.com following the posting of changes to these terms (including the Comsearch.com privacy policy) will mean you accept those changes.
