iQ·link New User Training (2 Days)
Target Group:
All personnel who will be using iQ·link
Brief Description:
A hands-on course designed to train new users on how to build a microwave network using iQ·link
Required Skills/Knowledge:
Engineers and Planners with basic microwave design skills
Number of Participants:
Typically standard pricing includes one trainer supporting a maximum of 5 students. Ideally, each student should have access to the iQ.link software. Options for additional students can be arranged.
System Administration Training (1 Day):
Target Group:
Personnel who will be responsible for maintaining iQ.link, installing patches, upgrades, etc.
Brief Description:
The iQ·link Administration course covers all aspects of the system administration required for the iQ·link software. The goal is to familiarize the student with system administration tasks needed to adapt the software to their computer environments and optimize performance by editing the proper system resource files. An overview of the structure and relationships of the database along with some database maintenance will be covered. Outputs from the software to printers, plotters, and files will also be discussed.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
Personnel with basic UNIX skills.

Typically standard pricing includes one trainer supporting a maximum of 5 students. Ideally, each student should have access to the iQ.link software. Options for additional students can be arranged.
Basic Microwave Engineering (2 Days):
Target Group:
All users of iQ.link responsible for planning the microwave network.
Brief description:
The basic microwave engineering course will provide the user with an understanding of the terminology and methodology used in planning a microwave network. The main topics discussed are:
- Engineering Units
- RF Propagation
- Waveguide, Transmission lines & Antenna Systems
- Microwave Link System Components
- Availability and Performance Calculations
- Interference Calculations and Objectives
Required Skills/Knowledge:
Personnel with a basic understanding of Telecommunications.
Number of participants:
Based on Pricing. With this course, it is easier to accommodate a large number of people since hands-on access to the software isn't required.
