iQ·link

iQ·link® is the industry-leading spectrum allocation and frequency engineering software tool that supports the end-to-end engineering and design of fixed microwave networks. Over 200,000 microwave links have been designed using this tool. iQ·link is a proven and trusted engineering product for path clearance (LOS), availability, outage and performance assessment and fast, accurate interference analysis.

Designed by microwave engineers for microwave engineers, this software tool incorporates the ability to engineer point-to-point (PP) fixed networks and point-to-multipoint (PMP) microwave networks, supporting GSM, UMTS, PCS and TETRA technologies as well as Wireless Local Loop (WLL), Local Multipoint Distribution Service (LMDS), and other PMP systems.

iQ·link supports the full range of frequency bands, from 2-60 GHz.

Running on highly stable Sun Solaris workstations using the powerful Oracle database, iQ·link is ready to efficiently handle any size network. It is currently being used by operators who have designed and built well over 40,000 links.

Users have full access and functionality from any computer (PC Desktop, PC Laptop, etc.) connected to the server via LAN or WAN. By allowing the SUN workstation perform all of the computational work, the Engineer's PC's are free to do other daily tasks such as email, spreadsheets, word processing, etc. The iQ·link calculations have essentially no performance impact on any other function of the client PC.
