iQ·clearXG
Release Information
The following is a summary of the iQ·clearXG™ releases, beginning with the next planned release:
iQ·clearXG™ Version 1.4 - Available November, 2007.
Version 1.4 of iQ·clearXG is expected to be released in November, 2007. The following is the expected list of features provided in this version:
- Land Mobile Analysis
Provide the ability to analyze the impact of AWS cell layouts against Federal Land Mobile Systems whose operation can be defined by a radius around a point.
- Microwave to AWS Analysis
The existing Microwave to AWS Analysis will be improved to determine if the interference is into the mobile or base and perform the interference calculations into that site. It will then apply co-channel objectives to allow for coloring of cells and for identification of interfering links.
- GIS Layer Display
Provide the ability to display, as layers, various boundary data, including, CMA, EA, MEA, REAG and State.
- Link Profiles
Simplified ability to display the profiles of the incumbent microwave links.
iQ·clearXG™ Version 1.3 - Released August, 2007.
Version 1.3 of iQ·clearXG was released primarily to provide the ability to perform a line-of-sight analysis between AWS Cell Layouts and BRS hub stations. However, the following is the complete list of features provided in this version:
- BRS LOS Analysis
Provides Line-of-Sight checks between AWS Cell Sites and BRS Hub Sites.
- Filtering of Land-Mobile Site Data
Allows the user to specify a subset of federal land mobile systems that appear on the map.
- Map Display Coloring Changes
For improved clarity, minor modifications to the map display coloring have been made.
- Profile Sampling Distance Modifications
The sampling distance for all terrain profiles performed can be specified.
iQ·clearXG™ Version 1.2 - Released May, 2007.
Version 1.2 of iQ·clearXG contains the following new features:
- Ability to Display Incumbent Data
The ability to display all of the incumbent data on the map was added. This includes BRS, DOD Protected Sites, Federal Land Mobile Sites, Radio Astronomy Sites, Radio Astronomy Zones, and the Goldstone deep space transmitter.
- Complete GIS Data Sets Released
The complete data sets for Terrain, Census Data, Market Boundaries, and Level 1 Roads were released. Labels for Level 1 Roads are also provided.
- Enhancements to ASCII Outputs
The Detailed Link Severity report was modified for easier importing into most spreadsheet programs.
- Fixed MFB Spectrum Availability Report
The Multiple Frequency Block (MFB) Spectrum Availability Report previously reported the eliminated channels even though the column header showed Channels Available. This report was changed to only show eliminated frequencies in this report, regardless of the Avail/All or Eliminated setting.
iQ·clearXG™ Version 1.1 - Released September, 2006.
Version 1.1 of iQ·clearXG contained the following new features:
ANALYSIS
- Interference Objectives
The interference objective curves were updated to account for varying bandwidths of AWS transmitters based on detailed PSD curves that we have obtained from the AWS equipment manufacturers.
- Analysis Extension
In order to account for the possibility of interference with certain old analog receivers with poor interference rejection, we have updated these choices to 14 MHz, 20 MHz and 40 MHz.
- OH Loss Algorithm
The OH Loss Algorithm has been updated to be more consistent with measured data.
GIS
- MEA Area Type
The MEA area type was added to allow REAG licensees to focus on a smaller area of their licenses.
MICROWAVE DATA
- Addition of the 1.7 GHz Band
Modifications were made to add the 1.7 GHz Federal Government Fixed Links.
REPORTING
- Acrobat Reader
The Adobe Acrobat reader was added as a choice of document viewers.
- Consistency and Clarity of All Reports
A general overhaul of the appearance of the reports was made for consistency with the AWS band.
- Addition of Detailed Link Severity Report for all Active Links
The report that was available on a link-by-link basis to show detailed calculations from each cell was modified to allow the option to report on all active links.
- Enhancements to ASCII Outputs
The Link Severity, Spectrum Availability, and Spectrum Recommendation reports were modified for easier importing into most spreadsheet programs.
- Coordinate Format Option
Added the ability for reports to show decimal degrees or degrees-minutes-seconds. Previously, only degrees-minutes-seconds were shown.
- Unix vs. Windows Text File Format
Added the ability for ASCII reports to be formatted for use in Unix or Windows.
iQ·clearXG™ Version 1.0 - Introduced June, 2006.
