Home > Mobile > Spectrum Management Process Overview Detailed Design & Site Selection
The Detailed Design phase analyzes, models, and ranks candidate sites for viability and adherence to objectives. It provides the detailed candidate RF configuration and system parameter settings, such as antenna heights, ERP, tilt angles, etc. The Detailed Design phase culminates in a candidate-specific construction design. The candidate site selection process determines specifically where antennas will be located. Use a propagation study to determine coverage area and optimize the total number of sites needed. Conduct drive test measurements to validate predicted signal levels and interference levels. Measurement integration techniques can refine propagation models and morphological regions. Site procurement may include purchasing/leasing land, rezoning for tower construction, building a tower, and/or leasing space on an existing tower or building. An existing structure is often favored in order to avoid the potential construction and zoning delays, as well as the often-greater expense of constructing a new tower. Locate an Existing Site To search for existing sites, use SiteLocator. Locate a Site Acquisition Company To search for site acquisition companies please use VendorLocator. Site Services Comsearch provides several services to help in the site selection process. They include: Comsearch offers Full-Service Wireless Network Engineering to assist with the design and implementation of your system. |
