iQ·clear®XG was built from the framework of Comsearch's proven iQ·clear® spectrum sharing tool for the 1.9 GHz PCS band. iQ·clear was used extensively by nearly every PCS operator in the nation to plan and rollout PCS systems. Building on this foundation, we have developed an all-new and improved software tool for the interference analysis requirements specific to AWS.

- Intuitive Graphical User Interface—In addition to detailed reports, iQ·clear®XG provides a graphical representations of predicted interference scenarios. This allows users to make better, informed decisions for mitigating interference, which translates into faster deployment.
- Performance—iQ·clearXG was developed on the highly-stable SUN Solaris platform, which can operate for months without freezing or the need to reboot. Applications running natively on SUN Solaris servers can be accessed transparently by any user from any PC connected to the server via LAN, WAN or the internet, through the use of widely available PC X-Emulator packages such as Exceed, PCX-Ware, Citrix MetaFrame etc.
By allowing the SUN workstation perform all of the computational work, the Engineer's PC's are free to do other daily tasks such as email, spreadsheets, word processing etc. The iQ·clearXG calculations have essentially no performance impact on any other function of the client PC.
