Our frequency coordination process begins approximately 3–4 months prior to the event, culminating with our presence at the show.
Pre-Show Frequency Coordination
- Exhibitors register wireless devices that will be demonstrated and operated on the exhibit floor.
- Comsearch recommends frequencies that may avoid harmful interference to other exhibitors and licensed wireless operations in the vicinity of the event location.
- Comsearch utilizes our engineering expertise coupled with our industry-acclaimed comprehensive databases and tools, as well as our long-standing relationships with licensees, to recommend and coordinate spectrum usage between the exhibitors and the licensed incumbent operators.
- Comsearch engineers will perform on-site interference monitoring to identify any incumbent carrier signals and undesired emissions.
- Comsearch verifies that all exhibitors power-up their demonstrations to verify each is operating in accordance with the assigned channel plans.
- During the first hours of the show, our engineers will identify any additional RF signals and crosscheck those signals with the list of registered exhibitors that plan to transmit.
- Comsearch engineers continuously perform spectrum sweeps during the event and quickly address and resolve anomalies.
A growing number of trade show exhibitors are demonstrating wireless products, many with common and conflicting spectrum needs. Minimizing interference conflicts between multiple wireless devices vying for the same spectrum provides a quality experience for both exhibitors and attendees and is crucial to the success of wireless trade shows.
