Comsearch Selected as Official Frequency Coordinator by CTIA
Engineering Firm Chosen to Provide Frequency Engineering Services
For CTIA WIRELESS 2002
ASHBURN, VA - Comsearch, an Allen Telecom company (NYSE: ALN), announced today that for the fifth consecutive year, it has been selected by the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association (CTIA) as their official frequency coordinator for the Association's WIRELESS 2002 show. This year the show will take place at the Orlando Florida Convention Center from March 18-20.
Comsearch has developed a spectrum management process that efficiently addresses the interference and frequency coordination issues for CTIA's temporary wireless demonstrations. With hundreds of exhibitors at the CTIA WIRELESS 2002 show, it's critical that the frequencies used for the wireless demonstrations do not interfere with each other and with other licensed wireless operations in the area. Comsearch, using its frequency analysis software, IQ·ClearÒ and engineering expertise, offers a full range of Spectrum Management services prior to and during the show, which includes coordination with PCS licensees in the area, interference analysis and frequency coordination with microwave incumbents, frequency coordination between exhibitors and on-site interference monitoring.
"Comsearch is once again proud to be chosen as the official frequency coordinator to support CTIA at this premier event. CTIA's proactive approach to spectrum management will help to ensure a quality show experience for both exhibitors and attendees," said Chris Hardy, Vice President of Spectrum Management Solutions at Comsearch.
CTIA WIRELESS 2002 will once again be one of the largest and most highly attended wireless shows in the telecommunication and computing industries. This year's show will feature nearly 1000 exhibitors showcasing new and emerging products and services that encompass wireless lifestyle solutions in Telematics, WLAN, Home RF, Bluetooth, and Fixed Wireless.
"Spectrum Management is a vital part of the overall success of CTIA WIRELESS 2002," said Robert Mesirow, Vice President of Conventions for CTIA. "The response regarding Comsearch's proficiency in providing frequency coordination services during our past shows has been very positive. By securing Comsearch as the official frequency coordinator for CTIA WIRELESS 2002 I am confident that this year's show will prove to be a productive experience for our attendees and exhibitors."
