Comsearch's MAS Express Wins United Telecom Council's (UTC) Best Telecom Service Award
Winning Service Product is Second in Series of On-line Interactive Products

ASHBURN, VA - Comsearch announced today that its new online Multiple Address Systems (MAS) interference-analysis and frequency-selection tool, MAS Express, has won the United Telecom Council's (UTC) Best Telecom Service Award at the UTC Telecom 2001 conference. Exhibitors at the conference, held June 24-27, 2001, at the Midwest Express Center in Milwaukee, WI, entered their products in one of four categories: Wireless Equipment, Telecom Equipment, Telecom Services and Tower Products/Services. A panel of utility telecom professionals judged all product entries, and awards were announced June 26, 2001, on the show floor.

MAS Express is an online, interactive, interference-analysis and frequency-selection tool that instantly determines which frequencies are available for a proposed MAS system. The tool allows users to then select available frequencies and generate a supplemental showing, which is required to obtain a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) license. Common MAS applications include utility company data collection, control of railroad crossing signals, monitoring and controlling valves along gas and water pipelines, collecting data from ATMs and lottery machines and monitoring building security systems.

"Comsearch is honored to have won this award from the UTC as this respected organization represents the majority of operators in the MAS spectrum," said Chris Hardy, vice president of Spectrum Management Solutions for Comsearch. "This recognition by industry experts validates our continuing efforts to deliver value to our customers through innovative spectrum management solutions."
