Comsearch Veteran Named President of The National Spectrum Managers Association
Strong Foundation in RF Engineering and Spectrum Management Will Aid Coordination Community

RESTON, VA - Comsearch announced today that Chris Hardy, Vice President of Spectrum Management Solutions, has been selected by the National Spectrum Managers Association (NSMA) to serve as its new President. As President of the Association, Mr. Hardy will lead the membership in its efforts to improve coordination processes involved with spectrum management and interference related issues. He has been an active member of the NSMA since 1986, serving as Working Group Chairman, Treasurer and Vice President.

Mr. Hardy began his tenure with Comsearch in 1981, shortly after it was founded. He has held a variety of technical and managerial positions within the organization, including Director and Vice President of the Microwave & Satellite Services division. Currently, Mr. Hardy is the Vice President of Spectrum Management Solutions where he is responsible for frequency planning and interference assessment covering all areas of wireless technology. He brings a strong background in microwave engineering and spectrum management to the organization.

The NSMA is a voluntary association of microwave radio, personal communications services (PCS) and satellite licensees, manufacturers and frequency coordinators. The purpose of the Association is to provide a forum for
discussion and resolution of problems of common interest to the coordination community. Through its various Working Groups, the NSMA develops technical and procedural recommendations for the coordination of microwave radio, PCS, and satellite communication systems. NSMA recommendations represent guidelines that coordinators find useful in supplementing The Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) coordination rules.

"Chris has been a leader for Comsearch and in the coordination community, for many years," said Douglass Hall, President of Comsearch. "His dedication and hard work on behalf of the NSMA is well respected within the industry. I am sure he will continue to serve the NSMA and the industry well in his new role as President of the NSMA."

Comsearch (www.comsearch.com), designs, deploys, and optimizes wireless networks worldwide. Comsearch provides service solutions, engineering and GIS data to operators of Microwave, Mobile Satellite, Cellular, PCS, and Fixed Wireless networks.
