Allen Telecom's (ALN: NYSE) Comsearch division announced today that a leasing agreement with Janelia Farm Real Estate LCC will allow the wireless engineering services company to move its headquarters from Reston, VA, into a new 70,000 square foot facility located in the Janelia Farm Technology Park in Ashburn, VA, sometime in 1Q01.

Providing wireless engineering and service solutions for over 22 years to operators of Microwave, Satellite, Cellular, PCS, and Fixed Wireless networks, Comsearch's new Loudoun county facility will be part of Corporate Campus One at the Technology Park. The natural environment surrounding Janelia Farm Technology Park was a major factor in Comsearch's decision to relocate its headquarters, because the campus setting will be conducive to the work environment of the engineering services company.

The Janelia Farm Technology Park sits on 281 acres of rolling meadows, farmland and forest, and fronts Route 7 offering a natural environment with buildings that are three to four stories in height nestled within the surrounding forest. The Technology Park is located four miles east of the town of Leesburg and close to George Washington University's Virginia Campus in Ashburn. Washington-Dulles International Airport is a 15-minute drive by car. One of the many distinguishing features of the Janelia Technology Park site is a three-story Manor House built between 1936 and 1939 that is listed on the National Historic Register.
