Comsearch Named Official Spectrum Manager of CTIA WIRELESS Event for 11th Consecutive Year

WESTCHESTER, IL, February 27, 2008—The market-leading radio spectrum management capabilities of Comsearch, a CommScope, Inc. company, will be on full display April 1–3 in Las Vegas as it again serves as official spectrum manager for the CTIA WIRELESS^® 2008 trade show and conference.

In its 11th consecutive year as official spectrum manager at CTIA WIRELESS, Comsearch will ensure that the radio frequencies used in demonstrations by exhibitors do not interfere with each other or other licensed wireless operations in the area. This year's show presents challenges with demonstrations using UMTS, LTE, WiMAX, and DVB-H (Digital Video Broadcasting-Handhelds) technologies, in addition to the GSM and CDMA technologies common to the show.

Comsearch's spectrum management process efficiently and successfully addresses the often complex interference and frequency coordination issues for CTIA's many temporary wireless demonstrations. Comsearch will coordinate with area licensees and federal government agencies, perform interference analysis and frequency coordination with microwave incumbents, coordinate shared frequency use between exhibitors, and monitor on-site interference.
